I agree with the bangs thing if you have your hair layered. I have a heart-shaped face, so my face is sorta long too. The most important thing is to keep it semi-long. It doesn't have to go down your back, but if you cut it above your chin, your face will look even longer. I have more layers around my face to outline it, and I get compliments all the time about the shape of my face. When I had short hair, NEVER.
