What is the BEST hair style for an African American to wear if they are trying to grow their hair lo

I want my hair to grow long and fast. But what is the best hair style to do that? Cornrows or Box Braids? I am a male...Thank You

For a male, cornrows are probably best. They give your hair a chance to rest specifically the ends. Your hair grows at about 1/2 inch a month. What makes it seem like it doesn't grow is the breakage.



You should also wash your hair often at least once a week, you can put a stocking cap over your head to keep your braids from getting too frizzy, and be certain to keep your hair moisturized. That does not mean put grease on your scalp but it does mean use a moisturizing conditioner when you wash (DO NOT skip this step).
